I’m sitting here trying to plan my next few weekends and it seems almost impossible as there’s so much going on in June the Bordeaux region. We have plenty of music festivals, wine events, a medieval festival, and even a whole weekend dedicated to oysters. It’s hard for me to recommend which one of these events to attend as all of them are great, but I invite you to follow me on Instagram where I always share stories from the events I’m going to. Also, for those of you who missed it in May, I’m opening a new Lost in Bordeaux tour on June 14, where I’m taking you to my favorite streets and spots in Bordeaux. If you want to get lost in Bordeaux with me feel free to drop me a message through social media or at ira@lostinbordeaux.com for more details.

People in this region really love visiting wineries and also doing picnics, so why not combine them? Usually, the vineyards, owned by the different chateaux can only be visited as part of a guided tour in the Chateaux, but this month you have to opportunity to bring your picnic basket and spend a great day with your family and friends between the vines. The principle is quite simple: You bring your own picnic and the chateau will provide the wine and the entertainment.
Over 100 wine domains are participating in the event that will take place during the long weekend of June 4-6, about 15 of them are in the Bordeaux wine region. Take a look at the map. The places are limited so reserving a spot is recommended.
