This is the last weekend for one of Bordeaux’s most fun events, Dansons sur les Quais, so if you’re in a dancing mood, don’t let this one go by. There are plenty of other music events this weekend, such as the Musicalarue festival in Luxey, the Gypsy Jazz festival in Salle and the Bordeaux open air festival in Talence. The Musicalarue is a big music festival taking place in Luxey (about an hour drive from Bordeaux) on August 15-17. The lineup includes a very long list of artists and bands, including some big names such as Orelsan, Patti Smith and Patrick Bruel – to see the full program click here. The last weekend of Dance on the Quai
It’s your last chance to enjoy “Dansons sur les Quais” this summer. For those of you who haven’t tried it yet, Dansons sur les Quais is a series of free dancing classes and events, guided by professional dancers, taking place until August 18. Caraïbos au Caraïbos Lacanau Pro
Le Caraïbos Lacanau Pro is one of the most famous events in the surfing world, taking place in Lacanau-Océan. Every year, professional surfers from around the world arrive to the region to participate in the Championship tour. Lacanao Pro is more than just a surfing competition it’s also a beach festival with plenty of activities, concerts, craft stands, sports, surfing lessons and more. The festival will take place from August 11 to August 17. For more info click here.

Bordeaux Open Air
Bordeaux Open Air is a series of free summer electronic music events, all set in different locations and with a great city vibe to them. Every event is dedicated to a different country and hosts its DJ’s for sets of electronic music. The next Open Air event will take place this Sunday (August 18) at Parc du Château des Arts in Talence. For more details click here.

Gypsy Jazz Festival
The Gypsy Jazz Festival will take place this weekend (August 17-18) in Salles (about 30 minutes for Bordeaux). In the program, plenty of concerts by new artists and some better known ones. Check out more details and the full program here.

La Bataille de Castillon
La Bataille de Castillon is a spectacle lasting for more than 10 evenings during the summer, replicating the famous fight from 1453. Castillon-la-Bataille, the town where the show takes place also hosts many activities and events revolving around the big show: tours of the city, exhibitions, and workshops of medieval art and more. Beau C’est Festival
Beau C’est Festival is a music and theater festival taking place this weekend (August 16-17) in Bosset, a little town close to Bergerac. See the full program and more details here.

Relache Festival, created by the Allez les filles association, is a series of free concerts taking place at different venues and dates during the summer. The summer pavilion on the right side of the river
Like every summer in the last five years, the Orangeade association opens its summer pavilion on le Quai Deschamps (in the Bastide neighbourhood) with live concerts every Friday (18:00 – 01:00) and Saturday (12:00 to 01:00). These events are not just music concerts but rather a place for friends and family to spend the weekend with yoga classes, creative workshops, activities for kids and more. Mama’s Burger Party
The rooftop of Mama Shelter is one of the best places for a drink during the hot Bordelaise summer nights. This Sunday (August 18) Mama Shelter is hosting the Mama’s Burger Party. Check out the menu and details on the facebook page of the event.

Learn how to Tango
Every summer the Tango Bordeaux association organizes pubic tango events in Jardin Public, Place de Quinconces and la Grande Poste. The next event will take place at la Grande Poste on August 18. See more details here.

Vide-grenier in Barsac
