This weekend it’s time to relax a bit after the fête du vin and fête de la musique. There are no big festivals but plenty of fun events and activities and a few incredible art exhibitions you should go see.

Festivals and Events
Bordeaux Open Air #1
The first part of the third edition of the Bordeaux Open Air festival will take place on June 24 in Parc Palmer in Cenon. Bordeaux Open Air is a series of summer free electronic music events, all set in different locations and with a great city vibe to them. The second and third parts of the festival will take place on July 22 and August 12 in Jardin Public and Parc Palmer, respectively.

Refugee Food Festival
The Refugee Food Festival will take place on June 21-25 in several location across the city. Five restaurants in Bordeaux will open their kitchen to refugee chefs that will enrich their menus with special dishes from their countries. Fête de la Musique for kids
Every year, on the weekend following the Fête de la Musique, kids get to celebrate their own music day in Parc Bordelais. The event proposes a large program of musical activities such as concerts of different music schools, a workshop of electronic music for kids, a concert of the Orchestre d’Harmonie de Bordeaux and more. Flashmob Studio Attitude 2018
Join the big Flashmob event that will take place this Saturday at the Miroir d’eau at 16:00, organized by Studio Attitude. You can learn the dance moves in the video bellow. See more details on the facebook page of the event.

Zero waste village
A zero waste festival will take place on June 23 at Place Sainte Bernadette in Merignac. During this event you’ll be able to do a no-waste shopping and gain new ideas you could implement in your day to day life in order to decrease waste. For more info check out the website of the event.

Festival de Papa Yann from Enfant- Bordeaux
Papa Yann, the founder of the super helpful website Enfant-Bordeaux will host the first event for kids on Sunday (June 24). The event will take place at la Cabane de Raba in Talence and will include many activities and spectacles in its program. For more details check the website and the facebook page of the event.

La Ferme des Halles
le Carreau des Producteurs, a group of farmers and a local producers located at the Halles de Bacalan will hold a fun event this Saturday (June 23), by the name of “La Ferme des Halles”. The event will include a little farm installed in place, a farming class and a market where you could meet the local producers. See more info here.

Banzaï Lab présente : Arrière Cour #3
Banzaï Lab invites you to spend a lovely afternoon this Sunday (June 24) at Les Vivres de l’Art. The program includes a Barbecue, different games, a magic show and more. See the full program on the facebook page of the event.

Last chance to see the Street Color Exhibition
I know I have been saying that in the last three weeks, but this is really your last chance to see this amazing street art exhibition at the Institut Bernard Magrez, which will be presented until the end of this weekend (June 24). The expo includes some well known street artists (mostly French ones), such as MAD C (GER), Seth (FRA), d’Alexöne (FRA) and more.

Urban Legends Exhibition
“Legendes Urbaines” , an exhibition that will host more than 50 street artists, will be presented from June 21 to September 16 at La Base Sous Marine, one of the most unique places in Bordeaux.

Corpus Focus – a journey of a dance
Corpus Focus is a dance project that has been running since March in different locations in Bordeaux. It brings together 4 renowned international choreographers with dancers (from the Adage dance school) that will perform their new creations. The forth edition of Corpus Focus is coming to an end with two performances this weekend, on June 22 (19:30) and June 23 (16:00) in Bordeaux and Saint-Macaire, respectively. The entry is free.

Last chance to see the Wine and Music Expo
The is the last chance to see the “Le vin & La musique, accords et désaccords“ art exposition at la Cité du Vin, that will be presented until June 24. The exhibition reveals the relationship between wine and music through a visual journey that alternates between paintings, music and stage art. Around 150 pieces of art will be put in place from French and European collections: ceramics, paintings, music books , instruments and more. For more details and tickets go here.

Le Bruit des Corps – Festival
Le Bruit des Corps is a festival combining the arts of dance and theater, mixing both professional and amateur dancers. The festival will take place on June 21-30 in different venues in the city. La Guinguette Chez Alriq
Enjoy a concert in front of the Garonne river at La Guinguette Chez Alriq. This cool place has live concerts every evening of the weekend with performances in many different music genres. See the full program for the weekend on their website.
