Easter events around Bordeaux (Gironde area)

Fêtez Pâques à la Promenade Sainte-Catherine

The commercial center in the center of Bordeaux (Promenade Sainte-Catherine) is hosting a big treasure for families (kids uder 7yo) on April 4. The event is free but you must register in advance- see info here

Chasse aux oeufs – Mérignac

The town of Merignac is hosting a fun treasure hunt for little kids (up to 6yo) on April 4, you must book your spots in advance. See the details here.

Easter Egg Hunt at Hôtel Burdigala Bordeaux

A more cozy, indoor option right in the city center.

On Monday, April 6 from 3pm, the Burdigala hosts a full afternoon for kids with a snack, an egg hunt in the atrium featuring chocolates from Maison Darricau, plus cartoons, creative workshops, and face painting.

It’s less about running around and more about a structured, all-in-one family activity.cPrice: €25 per child (limited spots)- see info here.

Easter at Château Formont

On April 4, Château Formont in Ambarès-et-Lagrave hosts a family-friendly Easter afternoon from 2pm to 6pm. Expect an egg hunt adapted to different ages, creative workshops, pony rides, and a relaxed atmosphere in the château’s park. Entry is free, with optional paid activities for kids. Easter Egg Hunt at La Forêt Magique du Bassin

This one feels more like a live story than a classic egg hunt.

During the Easter holidays (April 4–12, 2026), the park transforms into a fairytale forest. Younger kids follow characters like Cinderella to find hidden eggs, while older ones solve riddles to track down the White Rabbit.There’s also a daily “Golden Egg Quest” with chocolate prizes and summer tickets to win. Easter Egg Hunt at Château Léognan

Taking place just outside Bordeaux, this event is set in the grounds of Château Léognan. On Sunday, April 5, from 2pm to 4pm, families can enjoy an afternoon of games, chocolate tasting, and a large Easter egg hunt. Kids will also take part in playful challenges inspired by the “Woompa” family. Tickets are €10 per person. There’s also a prize to win: a children’s workshop at the Nougatine Paris spa. – see info here.

Le printemps de Soulac

Soulac Sur Mer, the beautiful village in the Medoc region, is celebrating the start of Spring on April 4-6. The program includes a flower market, concerts on the streets, a wine fair, and a big treasure hunt for kids. See the fool program here.

Pâques au Château de Cazeneuve

A tricky Easter Bunny has hidden eggs around the castle! Solve clues to find them and enjoy a chocolate surprise. Included with entry (5+). Bring a pen! The event will happen on April 5-6; info here.

Pâques au Château de Montaigne

Château de Montaigne in the Saint Emilion region is hosting a big easter event on the long weekend of April 4-6. The program includes a big egg hunt and games in the chateau’s gardens. You can reserve your spots here.

Treasure hunts in other parts of Southwest France

Chateau de Duras

The beautiful Chateau de Duras in Lot et Garonne is hosting its annual egg hunt throughout the weekend. You can enjoy the treasure hunt as well as guided tours of the chateau on April 4-6. See more details here.

Paques au Chateau de Bridoire

Known as the ‘castle of 1000 games,’ Château de Bridoire is one of the most kid-friendly spots in Dordogne. This Easter, it’s hosting a treasure hunt, games, and plenty of chocolate from April 4-6. Details & tickets – here.

Écomusée de Marquèze

The Écomusée de Marquèze, in Landes de Gascogne, is hosting a fun easter event on April 5. The program includes a big treasure hunt for the whole family and concerts of Gascony music. For more details, click here.

Grande chasse aux oeufs aux Jardins de Marqueyssac

Jardins de Marqueyssac is one of the most beautiful gardens in the Dordogne department. Every year, it hosts an amazing treasure hunt that kids absolutely love. This year, the event will be taking place on April 5-6. See all the details here.
