There are lots of great events this weekend! You have the big fair of contemporary art, a market for the famous black truffles of Périgord, a week of underground electronic music and plenty of shows, concerts, and exhibitions. If it’s too rainy for you, check out my list of things you can do when it’s raining in Bordeaux. You can also check out my new post about the best music festivals in Bordeaux and dream about the summer :). But for now, let’s get started with the list of things to do this weekend in Bordeaux.

Grand Marché de la Truffe

This weekend (February 2-3) a market of truffles will take place at Cours Malby. Grand Marché de la Truffe is a big event, dedicated to the famous black truffles of Périgord and other products of the region (foie gras, truffled liver pâtés and more). The event includes tastings and different activities related to the fancy mushrooms. The event is free. For more details click here.

Salon des Antiquaires et de l’Art Contemporain

The Salon of Antiques and contemporary arts is one of the biggest events in Bordeaux for Antique hunters. Around one hundred exhibitors, rigorously selected from different areas of France and other countries in Europe, will present their collections and knowledge in history and art. Le Salon des Antiquaires et de l’Art Contemporain will take place at the Parc des Expositions from January 26 to February 3. Entry is 10 euros and free for kids under 15 years old. Game In Jeux vidéo

Union Saint Jean invites you this Saturday (February 2) for a fun day dedicated to video games. The event includes activities for both kids and adults. The program for kids includes a family space with kids makeup, paper toys, arcade games, big puzzles and more. The adults can enjoy a game museum, board games and more. Check out the long program on the facebook page of the event.

A week of Underground electronic music

For the next two weeks Les Vivres de l’Art hosts a long line up of underground electronic music concerts. From February 1 to February 15, 17 live concerts will take place at this brilliant venue in the Bacalan district. The concerts include some big names from the international underground scene.  Check out the full program here.

Exposition Système de Nasti

Good news for street art fans! The amazing exhibition of Nasty (one of the most talented artist in this field) was extended until March 3rd! So if you haven’t seen it yet, it’s a must! The exhibition is presented at the Institut Bernard Magrez. For more about the artist click here.

Marché des connaissances

This is the final event of the “Reboot : Semaine de culture scientifique“, a week dedicated to the relationship between humans and robots. This Saturday (February 2) a special fair will take place at the Halle de Chartrons that will reunite different scientific associations and players in the cultural scientific scene in Bordeaux, among them: Arts et Métiers (Bordeaux’s engineering school), Association des Sciences Archéologiques, Jeunes Sciences Bordeaux and others. See the full list of participants here. The event will include different activities, workshops for kids and games that address the topic of the human-machine relationship in a fun way. The entry is free and open for all.

Free museums Sunday

Like in most cities in France, the first Sunday of the month is a free museums day. You have a free entrance to all the public museums and to most exhibitions. Check out the full list of the museums in Bordeaux that you can visit for free this Sunday.

Pull à Facettes – Upgrade your clothes

This is a very cool evening for fashion lovers or just the creative ones among you. Pull à Facettes is an event created to get you out of the house for a winter cozy activity. You can bring your clothes and upgrade them with funky accessories. Make that old sweater of yours look cool again :). The event will include beer, hot wine, and karaoke! The event will take place this Saturday (February 2) at the Salle des fêtes Bordeaux Grand-Parc. For more details click here.

Le Cirque Arlette Gruss

Arlette Gruss is a traditional French circus, founded in 1985. The circus has performed in Bordeaux several times in the last two decades and this time it’s coming back with a new show. This year they offer a free guided visit to the circus village to those who bought a ticket to the show. The circus tent will occupy the place de Quinconces from January 10 to February 6. Jazz Concert at Auditorium de l’Opéra

Richard Galliano, the French accordionist, will take the stage of the Auditorium of Bordeaux this Saturday (February 2). His concert will take you to a musical journey of exiles and sailors in Paris in the end of the 19th century. For more info and tickets click here.

Misatango- dance show

Misatango was created in 1996 by the head of the Argentinian Orchestra, Martín Palmeri. This choreography is a spiritual journey that incorporates some of the Latin American musical traditions, especially tango. The show will take place this Saturday (February 2) at the Casino Barrière Theater. For ticket and more info click here.

Synapson – concert

The French electronic duo, Synapson, will take the stage of Rocher de Palmer this Friday (February 1). For tickets and more info click here.

Books market in Villandraut

A second-hand market for books, CDs, DVDs, puzzles and board games will take place this Saturday (February 2) in Villandraut. It’s maybe a bit far from Bordeaux, but if you decide to travel to the South of Gironde, this is a very nice place to stop by. For more info click here.

Free Pony session for kids

Le Domain d’Ecoline is a farm in Sadirac that runs Pony workshops for kids throughout the year. This Sunday (February 3) you have a chance to discover their activity for free. For more details click here.

The Chateaux of Sauternes et Barsac will open their doors to the public this weekend so if you love sweet wine this weekend is a treat. If you prefer to stay in town there are plenty of other things to do like a yoga festival in Darwin, a craftsmen market in Chartrons, a piano festival, a World music festival and more.

Open doors in the Chateaux of Sauternes et Barsac

Sauternes et Barsac are two wine areas (appellation d’origine contrôlée) famous for their sweet white wine. This weekend (November 10-11) 50 wine producers of Sauternes et Barsac invite you to an open door weekend, with a program that will include wine tastings, visits in the châteaux, gourmet food, concerts and activities for kids. Some of the participating châteaux are: Château La Tour Blanche,  Château Coutet à BarsacLa Maison du Vigneron SauternesChâteau SuduirautChâteau de Rayne VigneauChâteau Caillou. BLISS YOGA Festival

The Bliss Yoga festival will take place this weekend (November 10-11) in Darwin. The program of the festival includes 30 courses that aim to make you discover different types of yoga no matter what level you are. Although yoga is the main event, there will be other activities like workshops, different information stands, a well being space, kids area, a photography exhibition, bio products and more. Halles de Bacalan – 1 year anniversary 

Halles de Bacalan invites you to celebrate their first anniversary with a super gourmand event on the weekend of November 9-11. This fun market is one of the best places for drinks with friends, especially on rainy weekends, so this event is guaranteed to be good. For more info check out the facebook page of the event.

Piano Festival

This is the 9th edition of the Festival L’esprit du Piano that will take place at the Auditorium of the Opera of Bordeaux on November  9-26. This magnificent festival hosts some important pianists like Chick Corea, Yefim Bronfman, Deszo Ranki and Bertrand Chamayou and others, some of whom will collaborate with the National Orchestra of Bordeaux and the choir of the Opera of Bordeaux. One of the biggest names to take the stage of the Auditorium is the Jazz legend, Abdullah Ibrahim. See the program of the festival here and info about the tickets here.

Remembrance day ceremonies- November 11

This Sunday (November 11) is remembrance day in France and some events will take place in Floirac to commemorate the centenary of the armistice of the First World War.  For more details click here.

Centenaire de l’armistice de la 1ère Guerre Mondiale – Exhibition

This year is the centenary of the armistice of the First World War and as part of the commemoration the city will present an exhibition of different objects, posters and archives related to the war. The exhibition will be presented at the Town Hall in Floriac between November 6 and November 17 and in Espace Lucie Aubrac on November 11. For more info click here.

Jazz Festival in Caudéran

The second edition of the Jazz festival of Caudéran will take place on November 8-10. Three days with 6 concerts: Robin & the Woods, IepXtet – création musicale de Sébastien Iep Arruti, Lorenzo Naccarato trio, Itamar Borochov quartet, Saxtape and the Nicolas Folmer Horny Tonky experience. Salon Ob’Art

Le salon Ob’Art (Objets de créateur) is a creators fair with a rich pedagogic program of activities, workshops and demonstrations. The aim of the event is to create a dialog between artists, craftsmen and the wide public in order to transfer their know-how and to make the young generation discover a variety of professional vocations. The event will be dedicated to Japanese philosophy and craftsmanship. Le Salon Ob’Art will take place in Hangar 14 (Quai des Chartrons) on November 9-11. L’Arche de Noël – creators market

L’Arche de Noël is a creators market that will take place in the Chartrons neighborhood every weekend until Christmas (November 22-23 is the last event). Each week a group of local talented craftsmen and artists will present their original creations. This weekend (November 10-11) the stands will include jewelry, kids toys, textile, graphic design and more.

Festival Toutes Latitudes

Festival Toutes Latitudes is taking place this week (November 7-11) in Rocher de Palmer in Cenon. The festival celebrate diversity through world music with musicians from all the the world. The lineup includes the Malian singer Oumou Sangaré (the black Tina Turner), the Turkish guitarist Bilal Karaman, the Algerian band Babylone and more. Salon des Grandes Ecoles

The Salon of  the “Grandes Ecoles” is an event where the most prestigious institutions in the French higher education come to present their schools to future students. The Salon will take place this Saturday (November 10) at the Palais des Congrès. The event includes conferences and meetings with representatives from the schools who will present you their academic programs. For more info click here.

Bordeaux Medoc Lyrique comtest

The finals of the International singing competition of the Opera of Bordeaux will take place this weekend (November 9-10) at the Opera. Some of the young singers are coming from the biggest opera houses and theaters in France and abroad such as Opéra de Zurich, Opéra National de Bordeaux, Opéra national de Paris, Semperoper Dresde, Théâtre du Bolchoï and Théâtre du Capitole de Toulouse. Delirium Party

Fit Attitude

The Fit Attitude is a sports event that takes place on Saturday every two weeks in Jardin Public. It’s a free fitness event  and it’s open for all. The event will take place Saturday (November 10) at 11:00. See more details here.

Exhibitions

Exposition 3/1 – Espace Saint-Rémi

La Spirale association invites you to a collective exhibition by three local artists: Magalie Darsouze (visual artist), Benjamin Monteil (engraver) and Chris Pillot (painter). The exhibition will be presented at the beautiful Espace Saint-Rémi on November 7-17. The entrance is free. See more info here.

Douro, l’air de la terre au bord des eaux – Exhibition

La Cité du Vin is currently hosting its second temporary exhibition of the “Vignoble invité” (invited vineyard). This exhibition, called Douro, l’air de la terre au bord des eaux, will take you to the heart of the wine region Haut-Douro in Portugal. As with the permanent exhibition in La Cité du Vin this too will be  accompanied by an experience of sounds and senses.  For more info click here.

Salva Me exhibition

“Salva me” is the new exhibition of the Bordelais graphic designer Aymeric Giraudel. The exhibition combines photography and graphics and plays with the human body to express its beauty. The exhibition will be presented at the Les Vivres de l’Art until November 16. For more info click here.

Two big events are starting this weekend in Bordeaux: the International art festival and Space month. Besides these two, other exciting events are waiting for us this weekend, among them: a plants festival in Gradignan, a vintage sale in Bacalan, a color run and a march with sheep across the Metropole. As usual, I added some concerts and exhibitions to enrich your cultural agenda 🙂

Here is the list of things to do in Bordeaux this weekend (October 5-7):

FAB – International art festival

FAB is the annual International art festival of Bordeaux Metropole taking place this year on October 5-24. As one of Europe’s biggest art festivals it attracts some known names from the international contemporary art scene. During the three weeks of the festival more than 30 shows will take place in more than 20 different locations in Bordeaux, from the TnBA theater to the Opera of Bordeaux and the Base Sous Marine. La Grande Transhumance Urbaine

Don’t be surprised if on the weekend of October 5-7 you’ll suddenly see plenty of sheep crossing your street, that’s the  Grande Transhumance Urbaine. The idea behind this three day event is to connect city people to agriculture. Seven breeders and their sheep will lead the march that will start in Blanquefort, continue through the center of Bordeaux and finish in Villenave d’Ornon. People are welcome to participate in this 33km march or parts of it. Based on the success this event has had in the last few years, more than 1500 are expected to follow the breeders.  You can still enjoy the festival even if you don’t want to make the walk, just attend the events in every town that’s on their way. Tauzia Fête les Jardins

Tauzia fête les Jardins is one of the most beautiful plant celebration in the south of France. The fifth edition of this fantastic event in Gradignan will take place on October 5-7. A three day event that gathers plant growers, professional gardeners, landscape architects and artists. The rich program of the festival includes plenty of workshops, conferences, activities for kids such as painting and music in the garden, creating a bamboo palisade, creating a herbarium, plastic arts in the garden for kids and more. PROXIMA exhibition

The Proxima exhibitions is one of the main events of the space month in Bordeaux and will be presented at the Médiathèque de Mérignac from October 5th to October 26. Through the exhibition you will discover how astronauts prepare for their mission in space, the effects of weightlessness on their body and how their daily life look while they’re on mission. L’Espace en fête

An afternoon of space workshops for little astronaut apprentices will take place on October 6 at Côté sciences Air&Espace. The event will include workshops such as satellite design, discovery of the solar system, making and launching water rockets and more. Color obstacle rush

The color obstacle rush is a feast of music, color and sports. Live DJs, a fun cardio warm-up, a 5-km course consisting of 5 color stations, 20 music zones, and 20 new obstacles including giant slides, bouncy castles, tunnels, foam, kangaroo balloons – just to name a few! Les Campulsations

Les Campulsations is a student festival, celebrating the beginning of the new academic year in different locations in the Aquitaine region: Bordeaux, Talence, Pessac, Gradignan, Bayonne, Biarritz, Périgueux, Agen and Pau. In Bordeaux Metropole the events will take place in many different locations from university campuses to museums and theaters. The program is very varied and includes such events as a brocante party, music concerts, theater shows, exhibitions and more- check out the full program and find an event near you. The festival will take place from September 27 to October 6.

Les Rendez-vous des Polichineuses- a vintage sale

After the success they had with their first event last May, “Les Rendez-vous des Polichineuses” is coming back for a second edition in Halles de Bacalan. The big vintage sale that will take place this weekend (October 5-7) will host many vintage merchants with furniture, toys, art and plenty of accessories. For more details click here  or here. Planet Jeux 2018

Every October Espace d’Ornon is transformed into a huge game hall with games for every age. Logic games, sports, strategic games and plenty of other genres coming from all over the world.  Besides a huge game area, part of the space will be dedicated to babies and toddlers and will help parents entertain their little ones ( kids under 5 years old). The event will take place this weekend (October 6-7), entry is 3 euros.  For more info check out the website and the  facebook page of the event.

Festival du Kebbé

An oriental festival will take place this Friday evening (October 5) in Salle des fêtes du Grand Parc. The festival will start with a play “Les âmes cimentées” that deals with two immigrant workers in France. And will be followed by a concert of Bab Assalam, a French – Syrian band playing world music.  For more details click here.

Jazz weekend at the Caillou

If you want to keep it simple this weekend, head to the Caillou for a Jazz concert with a pretty view of Jardin Botanique. Like every weekend in their fall program, different  musicians and groups will take the stage of this beautiful bar.  This weekend the program includes the Perry Gordon trio on Friday (October 5) and the Golino & Tarot quartet on Saturday (October 6).

Symphony at the Auditorium of Bordeaux

The National Opera of Bordeaux recently published its annual symphony concerts program and there’s a lot to wait for. This weekend (October 4-5) the Marie-nicole Lemieux, the Canadian contralto, will perform with the Orchestra of Bordeaux to the sounds of Boulanger, Elgar and Mahler. Exhibitions to see this weekend:

First exhibition at the Musee de la Mer et de la Marine

La Musee de la Mer et de la Marine is finally about to present its first exhibition, just a few months after the cancellation of the Monet exhibition. Although the museum itself is not due to open soon, it has decided to open an exposition room where a new photography expo will be presented between October 1st and April 30, 2019. The “Sous les mers, au-delà de l’image” exhibition consists of more than 100 photographs by Paul Nicklen and David Doubilet, two National Géographic  photographers. Exhibition at the Institut Bernard Magrez

l’Institut Culturel Bernard Magrez is one of the cultural gems of Bordeaux, surprising us with new and inspiring exhibitions every few months. This time they host the painter Guillaume Toumanian, with an exhibition of 20 paintings called “De la lumière”.  The expo will be presented at Château Labottière until October 28. Bordeaux is fully prepared for the summer with plenty of events for adults and kids. So if you didn’t leave for your  summer vacation yet, take advantage of all the things the city has to offer this weekend: plenty of sportive, music and cultural activities along the quais, a food truck festival in a beautiful château, electronic music in the park and more.

Events in Bordeaux Metropole

The summer pavilion on the right side of the river

Every summer in the last four years the Orangeade association opens its summer pavilion on le Quai Deschamps (in the Bastide neighborhood) with great weekly events that all music and gastronomy lovers will appreciate. The association calls their summer village “un espace de bonheur partagé  (a space of shared happiness) and invites you every Friday and Saturday until September 22 to a musical and culinary journey. Look at the program for this Friday (July 20) and for this Saturday (July 21). All the events are free.

Dance on the Quai

Dansons sur les Quais is a series of dancing classes and events where people gather to dance together and learn a variety of dancing genres like Tango, Salsa, Bollywood, Forro, Hip Hop, Street Jazz, Zumba, Country and more. These activities will be guided by professional dancers from different dance schools in Bordeaux and they are completely free, so this is a great opportunity you don’t want to miss. The dancing events will take place on the quai almost daily from July 14 to August 19. For more details and the full program check out the website of Dansons sur les Quai.

Bordeaux Open Air 

The second part of the third edition of the Bordeaux Open Air festival will take place on July 22 in Jardin Public and will include a lineup of four djs. Bordeaux Open Air is a series of summer free electronic music events, all set in different locations and with a great city vibe to them. The third part of the festival will take place on August 12 in Parc Palmer.

Urban Legends Exhibition

Legendes Urbaines, an exhibition that hosts more than 50 street artists, will be presented from June 21 to September 16 at La Base Sous Marine, one of the most unique places in Bordeaux. The exhibition follows the evolution of street art from the 80s until today and presents different styles from graffiti, to video art, vitrage paintings, works on wood, fabric and much more. This is a must for any street art lover.

Quai des Sports

This is the 11th edition of this fun sportive event that takes place every summer (July 14 to August 12) at Parc des sports Saint Michel.  The program for this month is extremely varied  and includes things like climbing for kids, beach volleyball, basketball and more. The festival will be accompanied by artistic and music events.

So what’s on  this weekend? Kids can enjoy activities like table tennis, rollerblading, athletics, karate, boxing, football and more. For adults some more relaxing activities are offered, among them meditation, massage and Pilates.  Check the full program here.

Relache Festival

Relache Festival, created by the Allez les filles association, is a series of free concerts taking place at different venues and dates during this summer. The 9th edition of this festival will last about 3 months (May 30 to August 31) with performances by both local groups and international acts in many genres of music. The next evening will take place this Friday (July 20) at Square Dom Bedos and  Saturday (July 21) in Sortie 13 in Pessac. Take a look at the full program of events on their website.

Bordeaux Metropolitan Summer

Like every year Bordeaux Metropolitan invites you to discover the city and the area around it through a series of cultural events and activities. More than 100 activities of music, dance, public reading, theater, circus and gastronomy will take place between July 8 and September 25.  These events are so widely spread across the metropolitan area of Bordeaux that you are guaranteed to discover places (especially parks) that you have never heard of before. Some of the activities proposed this weekend are:

  • Tour in the observatory of Floriac – Saturday at 10:00 (July 21)
  • Gastronomy event at the  Marché Place du Centre in Bourg – Saturday at 11:00 (July 21)
  • Sound laboratory – learn how to be a dj in Le Dôme in Talence – Saturday at 16:00 (July 21) – for more info and reservations click here.

Skating in Darwin

Summer is a fun time for roller skating and if you’re not familiar with that sport, Darwin’s Roller Derby Bordeaux Club will introduce you to it with its weekly introductory sessions to roller skates. Until the end of August, Darwin will host skating sessions on Wednesdays (19:30 to 22:00) and Saturdays (10:30- 13:30). For tickets and more info check out the site and the facebook of the event.

Summer Braderie

During the next three days several streets in the city center will be filled with stands of clothes, shoes, toys, house supplies and more – this is the annual Bordeaux summer Braderie. If you are in town for summer sales (which will last until August 7), take the opportunity to check out the stands of more than 250 merchants on rue Porte Dijeaux, rue Sainte Catherine and rue des Trois Conils.

Listen to a Jazz concert at the Caillou

A jazz concert and a drink in an outdoor bar is a great thing to do on a summer night and Bordeaux has the Caillou bar especially for that. Like every summer, the Caillou had set up their summer stage and presents a long list of performances that will take place every weekend and some weekdays until the end of the summer. Fête Champêtre in Bassens

Three festive days are about to take place in the sports center of Griffons Séguinaud in Bassens with a vide grenier,  a market, sports activities, funfair, activities for kids, a mini farm, escape games and plenty of music concerts. The grande finale of this festival will be a musical fireworks show on Sunday evening. See the full program here.

En Plein Arts Festival 

The city of Talence invites you to the annual festival in the Thouars forest (around the Dome) that will take place this Saturday (July 21). Come with your family and take part in many cultural and artistic activities such as a puppet theater, beatbox, acrobatics, music concerts and much more. Events around Bordeaux

Bordeaux Food truck Festival

This is the biggest gathering of food trucks in the region of Nouvelle Aquitaine, with around 60 food trucks registered to participate in the five events of the festival, which are spread on different dates until the end of September this year. This festival aims to mix street food with the finesse of the wine world. As part of this gastronomic event, visitors can taste the wines of the hosting châteaux and specialty food coming from all corners of the world: French, Italian, Brazilian and much more.

The next food-truck weekend will take place on June 22 in Château Castéra. Besides plenty of food trucks the event includes many activities for adults and kids: a jeep tour in the vineyards, free wine tastings, games for kids, escape games, a music concert and an art expo. Jazz Festival in Saint Emilion

This is the 7th edition of this Jazz festival in the beautiful town of Saint Emilion which will take place July 20-22. During the three days of the festival Saint Emilion will offer a great mix of jazz concerts, wine tastings and tasty food. In the festival area you will find a wine bar with the wines of Saint Emilion and a gourmand market with local products and food trucks. For those of you living in Bordeaux, a bus will be offered from Les Quinconces to Saint Emilion at the price of 9 euros (both ways).

Symphony Orchestra Festival 

Festival Entre 2 Airs is an international festival of young Symphony Orchestras that takes place in the  Entre Deux Mers region. This is the last few days of the eight days (July 14- 21) festival that is taking place in 25 different locations with the participation of more than 400 young musicians from seven different countries. The main event this weekend is undoubtedly the Bordeaux wine festival- “Bordeaux Fête le Vin“. The festival is taking place on June 14-18 and includes an extensive program of events and activities. My recent post about the fête du vin will give you all the information you need to participate in the wine celebrations – prices, where to buy tickets, what activities are on and more. I think I’ve been talking enough about the wine festival in the last few days, so let me now just focus on all the other interesting events that are about to take place this weekend in and around Bordeaux.

Grand Crus Weekend

One of the most interesting events accompanying the Bordeaux wine festival is the Grand Crus Weekend that will take place June 16-17. This event, organized by the the Union des Grands Crus (regional wine classification), aims to create an international meeting of wine lovers. The highlights of this weekend will include tasting wines from over 120 Grand Crus and meeting different chateaux owners as part of organized dinners in these châteaux.

Festival Vie Sauvage

Vie Sauvage, is a music and gastronomy festival that takes place every year in Bourg. The seventh edition of the festival will take place June 15-17 and includes a long list of artists that will take the stage during the three days, you can see the full program here.  For more details check out the website of the event. The price is 25 euros for a day and 40 euros for the three days pass.

Jazz and Blues Festival in Leognan

The 23rd edition of the Jazz and Blues Festival of Leognan takes place as part of Leognan’s 300 years anniversary celebrations. Out of the six concerts in the program, two concerts are still to take place on June 15-16 in Saucats and in  Martillac. Take a look at the full program here.

En avant la musique in Langon

An early celebration of the Fete de la musique will take place in Langon this Saturday (June 16) from 17:30 to 23:30. The event will start with the performance of Perry Gordon at the Place des Carmes and will continue from 21:00 on the quai with three performances of rock music. For more details click here.

Festival Regula à La Réole

Regula is a dance, music and equestrian art festival that will take place this Saturday (June 16) in la Réole. Through these forms of arts, the performers will interpret the theme of the third edition of the festival, which is “American Myths”. For more details check out the facebook page of the event.

See the FIFA World Cup in one of the open air bars around the city

From June 14 to July 15 the world will be glued to the screens to watch the FIFA World Cup games. While the open air screening were canceled this year due to security reasons, there are a few places around Bordeaux where you can see them on a large screen and some are in the open air. Two such places are the Factory in Talence and  L’Et-Cætera in Pessac.  See more pubs that will screen the games here.

RDV des Artistes

This Saturday (June 16) a big gathering of artists will take place at the Place de la Mairie in Le Bouscat neighborhood. “RDV des Artistes” will include live painting and exhibition of local artists.

Latino Gartonomique festival

A gastronomic Latin American festival will take place on June 16 (2pm to 10pm) at Saint Augustin. Besides celebrating the gastronomic richness of Latin America the program will include concerts and different activities. See the facebook page of the event.

Climb Up open doors

A huge climbing indoor space opened in Bordeaux yesterday and this weekend they invite you for an open door two days event. The event is for adults and kids over 3 years old, it’s free and will include climbing lessons. Take a look on the details of the event.

CULTURE

Classic Ballet by the Bolshoi of Minsk

The prestigious Bolshoi of Minsk ballet company will perform parts taken from some of the best classics of ballet, such as Swan Lake, Sleeping Beauty and Don Quixote, a beautiful event to take the kids to. The show will take place on June 17 (4pm) at the Bordeaux Métropole Arena.

Penas y Alegrías – traditional flamenco dance and music show

“Penas y Alegrías” offers you a high energy, colourful flamenco show.  This is a traditional flamenco performance as one would see in the peñas (flamenco clubs) of Andalucía. This show presents a wide variety of flamenco styles including the poignant and melancholy soléa to the lighter, mischevious alegrías.

Still some time left to see the Street Color Exhibition

This is the last chance to see the excellent art exhibition that is being presented from April 5 to June 24 at the Institut Bernard Magrez. The expo includes some well known street artists (mostly French ones), such as MAD C (GER), Seth (FRA), d’Alexöne (FRA) and more.

Speedy Graphito – Urban Fever at Institut Bernard magrez

An exhibition by the famous French street artist, Speedy Graphito, will be presented at the Institut Bernard Magrez until July 15. The artist uses many forms of art –  painting, sculpture, photo, video and more to express his innovative and sometimes political ideas.
