While Saint Patrick’s day is an Irish religious and cultural celebration held on March 17 , it’s a beloved holiday in many cities around the world, and Bordeaux is no different. Apparently the capital of Nouvelle-Aquitaine has a substantial Irish community and a large Irish beer fan base and the amount of bars where you can get some Irish alcohol is quite surprising. So, with Saint Patrick’s day around the corner  we have decided to help you find all the places where you can celebrate  March 17 in Bordeaux.

Here is a list of all the Irish and English pubs in Bordeaux where you can grab a beer, watch a match, listen to some great music or just go celebrate with other Bordelais, expats or tourists.

Do you know of any other Irish pubs or restaurants in Bordeaux or maybe a hidden gem in the suburbs of Bordeaux? Please comment below!

  1. St Patrick’s day is the Irish national holiday so not sure why Uk pubs are included in your list.? As it’s completely unrelated to the UK, would Belgium restaurants be listed as venue for Bastille Day.
Ireland is a separate country independent to UK. I Wish people could get this uncomplicated fact right and stop the offence it causes Irish people. Thank you
